This study describes an investigation on Suzuki and Heck cross-couplings of aryl electrophiles in the presence of heterogeneous Pd nanoparticles supported on amino-vinyl silica functionalized magnetic carbon nanotube. The core-shell contains CNT@Fe3O4@SiO2-Pd in which the functionalized SiO2 helps the stabilization of Pd nanoparticles and also responsible for the reduction of Pd(II) to Pd(0) without the need for adding external reducing agents. All of the reactions were done under phosphine-free condition.
