Applications of carbon nanotubes (CNTs) in traditional cementitious materials, have been accentuated more attentions in the recent years. Some properties of these materials were improved by applying suitable concentration of CNTs. This article presents a review of the earlier studies carried out on adding CNTs into traditional cementitious materials. Cement hydration, workability, density, mechanical strength, shrinkage, ductility, freeze-thaw resistance, fire resistance, porosity, water absorption, permeability, electrical conductivity, electrical resistance and piezoresistive sensitivity, electromagnetic shielding effectiveness of traditional cementitious materials modified with CNTs have been reviewed. Different methods to modify CNTs composites have been summarized. (C) 2017 Elsevier Ltd. All rights reserved.
