Research Topics of the Information Science Departments in Dusseldorf and Graz

Analyzing scientometrically the publications' title terms, the article provides an overview of current research topics at the Institute of Information Science and Information Systems at University of Graz as well as at the Department of Information Science at Heinrich Heine University in Dusseldorf. A total of 129 publications from Graz and 249 from Dusseldorf were identified for the publication years 2010 to 2016. Top topics in Graz are information science, Austria, mobile systems, communication, university, citation and (scientific) journal; in Dusseldorf, information literacy, information science, social media, informational (smart) cities and knowledge dominate.
