Pencil graphite electrode (PGE) was modified by polypyrrole (Ppy)/nanographene (GF) nanocomposite and used for the detection of Paraqut (PQ) in agricultural water. Chronoamperometry (CA), cyclic voltametry (CV) and square wave voltametry (SWV) methods were used for detection and determination. The influence of the electrochemical pretreatment of PGE was investigated for pH, type and concentration of analyte solution, dissolved oxygen, scan rate, and response reproducibility. Under the optimized conditions, a linear relation was observed for the anodic peak over the square root of scan rate. A linear response over the concentration range of 0.18-1.37 M was observed with a correlation coefficient (R-2) of 0.999 and a detection limit (LOD) of 8.22 nM. The calculated statistical data consisted of Std of 2.6 and R-2 of 0.999 for genuine samples demonstrated satisfactory precision and exactitude of the proposed method.
