This paper will consider the properties of anion-conducting Sustainion (TM) membranes to highlight its potential for different electrochemical activities. Specifically, the latest CO2 electrolysis results will be unveiled in which we have managed to maintain a CO product selectivity of over similar to 98%. This was accomplished using a steady state current of 200 mA/cm(2) at under 3 V for 3000 hours with a very modest 6 uV/hr voltage increase. This translates to a degradation of only similar to 250 mV in five years which underlines the stability of the Sustainion (TM) membrane that lies at the heart of these CO2 electrolyzers.
