In this paper we explain the effectiveness of green policies on the basis of development stage of countries. The analysis conducted on developing and developed countries in the time span 2004-2011, following a two-step approach: in the first step, we consider the green policy sectors (regulatory policies, fiscal incentives, and public investments) while in the second step we analyze individually the policies adopted by countries.
