Lexicographic semi-order model (LSM) is a useful non-compensatory model in multi-attribute decision-making (MADM) that is a simple and popular decision model. In this method, decision maker compares the alternatives based on the determined criteria with considering the threshold for each criterion. This paper focuses on improving the efficiency and accuracy of this method, namely using the best-worst method for the weights determination of the criteria, as a novel MADM method. Thus, the steps of the proposed method are explained in details, and the differences between LSM and modified method are described, exactly. Finally, to illustrate the procedure of the modified method, we present the numerical studies and analyse them, based on the main parameters such as preference values and thresholds. The results show that applying the modified method improves the decision-making process regarding the quantitative and qualitative aspects.
