An undescribed wild edible mushroom was collected from East district of Sikkim and is proposed here as Boletus indoedulis. It has a brownish pileus, white unchanging pore surface, bulbous stipe, with white reticulation throughout, oblong basidiospores (10.2-11.7-14 x 3.2-3.8-4.4 pm) and occurrence under Lithocarpus sp. Morphological details of this novel species is provided along with the phylogenetic (nrITS and nrLSU) placement.
