Through systematic research on the PbO/PbF2/H3BO3 ternary phase diagram, two new lead(II) borates, beta-Pb6B10O21 and Pb4B8O16, were synthesized by a high temperature solution method. The polymerization degree of the B-O network was analyzed with increasing B: Pb ratio.
