A recently developed preconcentration procedure magnetic textile solid-phase extraction, based on the use of a magnetically modified textile impregnated with chitosan, was successfully employed for the preconcentration of blue fountain ink dye Acid blue 93 from extremely diluted solutions. This procedure enabled to detect ink dye released from ink written documents immersed in water. The developed procedure can be easily adapted for the detection of large variety of analytes important for environmental, biochemical and forensic analysis.
