A reaction model was developed to investigate evolutions of steel chemistry and inclusion compositions during reoxidation of Ca-treated Al-killed steels in a tundish. The evolutions of Al2O3, CaO, MgO, and CaO in inclusions were accurately predicted using the current reaction model. The reaction model can widely predict the evolution of inclusions during tundish reoxidation of Ca-treated Al-killed steels with varying concentrations of Al, Ca, and absorbed oxygen.
