The aim of this work was to assay some traces metals concentrations in buffalo mozzarella and buffalo milk sampled in two dairy farms of Caserta province (Campania Region, Italy). The data showed that: (a) metals concentrations in buffalo milk were under law limits set; (b) Cu, Pb and Cr concentrations in buffalo mozzarella appeared similar to those found in buffalo milk, while Ni and Al concentrations were significantly lower; (c) Pb and Cd concentrations, the only present in the European Union Commission Regulation (EU) (1881/2006), were under law limits.
