Restaurant industry is one of the key industries in Japan playing an important role in the economy of the country. In this study through modeling, we intend to optimize the efficiency of restaurant services by proposing a multi-agent simulation-based model as a decision-making support tool. The interaction between agents, namely customers, waitpersons and kitchen staffs is based on 2-dimensional cellular automata model. Not only analyzing the transition of agents through their interaction our interest focus also on finding the right time for cooking to increase benefits and the desirable satisfaction of customers.
