Morphology-controlled synthesis of PtNi concave nanocubes (CNCs) with high-index facets (HIFs) supported on porous graphene (PG) was first achieved via changing the amount of PG. Impressively, the optimal PtNi/10PG CNCs exhibited superior activity for the hydrogen evolution reaction (HER), outperforming the pristine PtNi CNCs and commercial 20 wt% Pt/C.
