The inhomogeneous phenomenon with a gradient distribution in adsorption and diffusion behaviors of xenon within a large SAPO-34 crystal was revealed by Xe-129 NMR, 2D EXSY NMR and Xe-129 PFG NMR techniques at the micro-scale. A multi-layer adsorption and diffusion model for xenon in a single crystal was proposed.
