In this research, Ni@Pt catalyst over TiO2 was synthesized by impregnation for the nickel core preparation and electroless deposition (ED) for the platinum shell preparation. The ED results indicated that the decreases of PtCl62- concentration confirm the deposition of Pt on the Ni surfaces. Their physical properties were found that the deposition of various amounts of Pt on Ni by ED does not affect the specific surface area and the average pore diameter. Moreover, the dark-field images indicate the formation of core-shell structure. Therefore, the ED method was suitable for the preparation of the Ni@ Pt catalyst over TiO2 support.
