The spin anomalous Hall effect (SAHE), generating spin angular momentum flow (spin current, J(s)), in an L1(0)-FePt ferromagnet was quantitatively evaluated by exploiting giant magnetoresistance devices composed of L1(0)-FePt vertical bar Cu vertical bar Ni81Fe19. From the ferromagnetic resonance linewidth modulated by the charge current (J(c)) injection, the spin anomalous Hall angle (alpha(SAHE)) was obtained to be 0.25 +/- 0.03. The evaluation of alpha(SAHE) at different configurations of J(c) and magnetization made it possible to discuss the symmetry of SAHE, giving the unambiguous evidence that SAHE is the source of J(s). Thanks to the large alpha(SAHE), the SAHE-induced magnetization switching was achieved.
