Gokturk-1 is the first sub-meter earth observation satellite of Turkey, launched on December 5th, 2016, and is operated by Turkish Air Forces. It has capability of pushbroom imaging system acquiring panchromatic and visible&near infrared images with 0.5 m and 2 m resolutions, respectively, in 15 km swath width. The main aim of this study is to analyze the 2D orientation accuracy in image-space for Gokturk-1 panchromatic level 2A imagery covering an undulating topography. For this purpose, Zonguldak test site which has mountainous and inclined topographies and dense settlement and forest was selected. Elevation ranges roughly varies from sea level to 1800 m. Various sensor independent orientation models and sensor dependent Rational Functional Model (RFM) were used as the mathematical models with 76 Ground Control Points (GCPs) collected by Global Navigation Satellite System (GNSS) observations covered Zonguldak Test Site. All points were used as GCPs. The primary results showed that 2D orientation accuracy in image space is could be achieved about +/- 1 pixel using RFM without systematic error.
