In this paper, magnetohydrodynamic nanofluid hydrothermal analysis in an open porous cavity is presented by means of Lattice Boltzmann method. Brownian motion influence on nanofluid properties is considered by means of Koo-Kleinstreuer-Li (KKL) model. Roles of Rayleigh number (Ra), Hartmann number (Ha), nanofluid volume fraction (phi) and Darcy number (Da) are depicted. Results indicate that the rate of exiting warmer fluid enhances with rise of Darcy and Raleigh numbers. The shape of streamline changes with increase of the Darcy number and buoyancy forces and the clockwise eddy diminish with increase of Rayleigh numbers. Temperature gradient reduces with increase of Lorentz forces. (C) 2017 Elsevier B.V. All rights reserved.
