In this article, we report the effect of weight percent of the brilliant green (C7H33N2.HO4S) fluorescence dye doped polyvinyl alcohol (PVA) polymer composites was prepared by solution casting method. Chemical and physical properties of the composite films were characterized by Fourier transform infrared (FT-IR) spectroscopy.AFM, DSC, and Universal testing machine (UTM), The FTIR was used to study the chemical interaction of fluorescent dye molecules in PVA chain and confirms the functional group variation in the prepared composites films. The surface morphology of the composite films obtained using atomic force microscopy (AFM). Thermal stability of the composite films was characterized using differential scanning calorimetry (DSC) techniques. The DSC peaks explained the glass transition temperature (T-g), melting temperature (T-m), and degradation temperature (T-d). The prepared composites exhibited good thermal stability. The mechanical parameter such as stress/strain, percent of strain, Young's modulus, tensile strength, and stiffness of the dye doped PVA polymer composite films were studied using UTM and the composites are showing enhanced mechanical properties with increase in wt% of dye.
