At the University of Kaiserslautern, a new design model for the shear capacity of composite slabs with additional reinforcement is going to be developed. This document presents the current state of the research project. The procedure and the results from the first test series are described. Afterwards a model sketch is introduced as well as the planning of the second test series. Further, a new design model for composite slabs and a new model for concrete slabs without shear reinforcement are described at the beginning of this paper as a basis for the current studies.
