An original frequency selective surface is here presented that is built from three-dimensional unit cells. These cells consist of sections of metallic waveguides perforated with folded slots on their lateral walls. The proposed structure is monolithic and fully metallic. Dual-band behavior can be synthesized from this surface and dual-linear polarization operation. The analysis and design of the structure is carried out employing equivalent circuit models which allow to explain its main electromagnetic features.
