Soluble phosphorus (P) is one of the vital macronutrients for plant growth. Native phosphate solubilizing bacteria (PSB) from rhizosphere soil of Capsicum annum was isolated and the phosphate solubilizing efficiency was evaluated in the presence of Egg Shell, Tea powder, Animal bone waste (ETB), Rock phosphate (RP) for the chili plant as an alternative fertilizer, instead of chemical fertilizer with the reference of Triple Super Phosphate (TSP) as control. Potential PSB were used as the inoculum for rhizosphere soil with ETB and RP. Growth and yield parameters were recorded to determine the efficiency of PSB with the alternative P source. The study results showed that the selected PSB effectively increase the growth and yield when inoculating PSB along with ETB and RP (C) 2019 Elsevier Ltd. All rights reserved.
