For the purpose of improving the reliability of distribution network, a fault location method considering the uncertainty of distribution network parameters is proposed. The method utilizes the interval algorithm to calculate the nodal voltage forwards and backwards by using distribution network interval parameters and voltage and current interval phasors captured by the phasor measurement units(PMUs). Compared with the fault location method based on the fixed value calculation method, the proposed one can adapt errors from devices, pseudo measurement and lines, making it more accurate than the fixed value method. A case study on IEEE 34-bus test system verifies the flexibility and stability of the method.
