This work aims studying the influence of mass transfer during electrochemical oxidation of Methylene blue (MB) onto new Zn-3(PO4)(2) based electrode. The prepared Zn-3(PO4)(2) electrode was characterized using X-ray Diffraction (XRD), X-Ray Scanning Electron Microscopy (SEM) and Energy dispersive spectroscopy (EDS). The experimental results showed that the electrochemical oxidation of Methylene blue (MB) using Zn-3(PO4)(2) electrode was influenced by the mode of mass transport. The use of ultrasound irradiation instead of classic stirring increases the MB removal by +51.4%. (C) 2019 Elsevier Ltd. All rights reserved.
