This article presents a brief review of recent developments in metallocorrole chemistry, with a focus on species with significant displacement of the metal from the N-4 plane of the corrole ring. Comparisons based on X-ray crystallographic data are made between a range of early and/or heavy transition metal, lanthanide, actinide, and main group metallocorrole species.
