Instead of conventional titanium meshes, individual CAD/CAM titanium meshes can be used to reconstruct complex bone defects. This approach offers several advantages, in particular easier clinical handling and shorter surgery duration. One of the most common complications of using titanium meshes are soft tissue dehiscences. In this study, the etiology and consequently the time of dehiscence formation plays a crucial role in the further prognosis of bone composition. This work introduces a classification of dehiscences concerning this augmentation procedure. Recommendations for the therapy and a respective prognosis estimate should be derived.
