Deformability and resistance to segregation are the two vital characters of Self Compacting Concrete (SCC), making it an option in place of conventional concrete mix, keeping in view the limited availability of skilled labour and construction costs. This study maps an idea of how the SCC works out during construction. Not only does this paper ensure the characterization of self-compacting concrete but also the effect of the addition of natural and artificial materials into the matrix. Concrete is most significantly utilized material in construction. The main objective of this study is to understand the nature of self-compacting concrete and its reaction with the reinforcing materials like glass fibers and glass powders. Previous studies show an increase in strength properties of SCC with addition of glass powder at 5, 10, 15 and 20% by weight of cement. Significant decrease in CO2 and other pollutants have been achieved with this SCC, making the material eco-friendly. The results have been analysed upon and further study will be carried out with SCC and glass powder mix. (C) 2019 Elsevier Ltd. All rights reserved.
