The structural, morphological and photoluminescence properties of Li4Ti5O12: x Eu3+ reddish-orange phosphor was studied. Under 393 and 464 nm excitation, Li4Ti5O12: x Eu3+ samples shows five emission peaks at 580, 592, 613, 646 and 703 nm. The chromaticity coordinates of the prepared phosphor sample lies in the reddish orange region of the chromaticity diagram. Using chromaticity co-ordinates corresponding color purity and correlated color temperature were also calculated at different excitation wavelengths. These results suggest the prepared Li4Ti5O12: x Eu3+ phosphor samples can be used as a red component in WLED applications. (C) 2018 Elsevier Ltd.
