In this paper, a novel closed form expression for the effective capacity (EC) over the alpha-eta-mu/Lognormal and alpha-kappa-mu/Lognormal composite fading channels has been derived. Using the proposed expression, the influence of various fading and shadowing parameters on the composite fading channels is investigated. Moreover, to get more insight behavior of the channels, an asymptotic expression under high and low signal-to-noise ratio (SNR) regimes have also been derived.
