In the present study the effect of the modification of commercial carbon black KetjenBlack DJ-600 with nitrogen and carbon containing compounds on the electrochemical stabilities has been investigated. The modification has been carried out by high temperature decomposition of acetonitrile, pyridine vapors and ethylene on the support surface. The corrosion stability of the KetjenBlack DJ-600 carbon black has been found to be improved upon modification. (C) 2017 Hydrogen Energy Publications LLC. Published by Elsevier Ltd.
