Here, we demonstrate, for the first time, that Co-MoO(3-x)nanocrystals (NCs) have been synthesized with the assistance of supercritical CO2. Their unique structural features of transition-metal doping and high oxygen vacancy concentrations, lead to synchronous outstanding surface enhanced Raman scattering (SERS) detection and photothermal conversion performances.
