A carbon-based porous electrode was fabricated by a facile slurry based process using polymethyl methacrylate (PMMA) as a pore-forming agent. It exhibited the reversible reaction of Li into the inner pores of the as-synthesized electrode without dendritic Li growth, which resulted in showing the outstanding cycle performances for lithium metal batteries.
