The aim of the paper is to investigate and develop of a method for reducing the own technological consumption in distribution networks involving the power demand forecast. In order to solve the mentioned main objective it is proposed an optimization model that is built on the main characteristics of a medium and low voltage power distribution network. In order to validate the developed solution a study, discussion, recommendations and conclusions are formulated based on real experimental data. (C) 2020 The Authors. Published by Elsevier B.V.
