An unprecedented CsPbBr3-based polar Dion-Jacobson type bilayered hybrid, (2meptH(2))CsPb2Br7 (1, where 2mept = 2-methyl-1,5-diaminopentane), has been reported. Polarization could benefit the charge transport to induce low N-trap. 1 exhibits a large on/off ratio (similar to 10(3)), fast response time (similar to 200 mu s) and high photodetectivity (similar to 10(9) Jones) for promising UV photodetection.
