To improve the power quality of a medium-voltage dc (MVDC) power distribution grid, a multilevel MVDC link strategy (MMS) for high-frequency-link dc transformer based on switched capacitor is proposed in this paper. By applying MMS, the fluctuations in current can be decreased effectively, and the current stress and efficiency performance will be improved. Representative theoretical analysis and experimental results are presented to verify the correctness and effectiveness of the proposed solution.
