Transition Metal Complexes of Ni(II) and Zn(II) were synthesized from Schiff base (1) (N-[(1E)-(3,4-dimethoxyphenyl) methylene]-3H-1,2,4-triazol-3-amine) and Schiff base (2) (N-(2-furylmethylene)-4H-1,2,4-triazol-4-amine). The authenticity of the both Schiff base and their metal complexes were characterized by elemental analyses, conductance and magnetic susceptibility measurements, as well as spectroscopic study of IR and thermal studies. Schiff base (1) derived from 3,4-dimethoxybenzaldehyde and 3-amino 1,2,4-triazole and Schiff base (2) derived from furaldehyde and 4-amino 1,2,4-triazole. Thermal stability and kinetic parameters of these complexes are studied by employing Thermo Gravitometricanalysis (TGA) and data show that the complexes are stable up to 300 degrees C. Decomposition process follows four stages. Activation energy and Thermodynamics parameter such as Entropy, Enthalpy and Gibbs Energy for decomposition process is calculated using Briodo method.
