Recent environmental and health concerns due to the wastewaters and effluents abundance and their disadvantages have led to the development of new and advanced treatment systems. The integrated systems significance can be cleared when single procedures cannot refine effluents as perfect as integrated methods due to additional options. In this review, advanced oxidation approaches integrated with membrane reactor and bioreactors for different wastewater treatments are represented. First, various oxidation systems and methods as well as membrane reactors and bioreactors are introduced in separate sections. As an objective considered, the combinations of advanced oxidation approaches in the role of pretreatment, post-treatment and simultaneous treatment with biological and simple membrane reactors are discussed. Finally, the evaluation of hybrid systems will be performed using a comparative study of different mixed treatment systems rather than single systems to assess whether they were used as beneficial methods or not.
