The liquid crystal new twin hydrazone derivatives of quinolone have been synthesized by many steps procedure. The molecular structure of these compounds was confirmed by elemental analysis and FTIR, mass, (CNMR)-C-13 and (HNMR)-H-1 spectroscopy. The mesomorphic properties were studied by using differential scanning calorimetry (DSC) and polarized optical microscopy (POM). Almost of the synthesized compounds exhibited enantiotropic nematic phase. The mesomorphic behavior was found to be dependent on the geometry of the molecule, terminal and the central linkage group.
