In distribution line, the reactive power results in poor power factor, lower voltage regulation and reduces the extent of active power from generating side. Here, the controller for voltage source converter (VSC) is analyzed for enhance the exploitation of electrical source efficiently. A synchronous reference controller based six leg VSC has been applied to regulate ac voltage and also manage exchange of quadrature power with ac system. The dc link voltage of VSC maintained constant. The working of VSC according to variable and normal behaviour of grid is appraise by modifying the technique of controller to generate appropriate reference signal for converter switch.
