Entropy generation due to fluid friction and heat transfer over a curved impermeable stretching sheet in the presence of an applied magnetic field is investigated. Similarity solutions of the fluid velocity and temperature are obtained. The effects of the curvature and magnetic field strength on the flow and heat transfer characteristics are presented through graphs. The dimensionless entropy generation number and Bejan number are derived using velocity and temperature gradients. The minimization of entropy generation and minimization of fluid flow resistance by geometry and magnetic strength is identified.
