The main goal of this article is to assess which of the surveyed countries is the most competitive. The authors employ an innovative method similar to the Macroeconomic Stabilisation Pentagon (MSP). Analysis of basic macroeconomic indicators as sources of competitive countries can create an alternative to the existing assessment index for economies. Macroeconomic stability is reflected in five indicators: economic growth rate, unemployment rate, inflation rate, budget balance relationship to gross domestic product (GDP), and the relationship between current account balances and GDP. Such an analysis can supplement current studies, which use the method of MSP exclusively for countries undergoing transformation. In this case, the 'magic' pentagon will be applied to countries that reside at the top in terms of competitiveness rankings.
