Kicking at the habitus: students' reading of critical pedagogy in PETE

Rod Philpot et al.

Summary: This paper reports on a research project exploring how the biographies of 19 physical education teacher education students mediate their understanding of their program with a critical pedagogy philosophy. The findings suggest that students' biographies influenced and were shaped by both coursework and practicum experiences in different ways.
