Summary: This study developed a brief version of the Insomnia Severity Index (ISI-3) and demonstrated its good internal consistency and convergent validity in a sample of older veterans with posttraumatic stress disorder. The ISI-3 has the potential for clinical application to screen for insomnia and monitor changes during treatment.
