Flood hazards adaptation strategies: a gender-based disaggregated analysis of farm-dependent Bait community in Punjab, Pakistan

Dilshad Ahmad et al.

Summary: Climate change has significantly increased the frequency of natural hazards like floods and droughts, impacting the livelihood of farming communities. Factors such as schooling, training, age, agricultural labor, farming experience, and land access were found to significantly affect farmers' adaptation strategies. The study showed that factors integrated with the female model are more critical for flood adaptation strategies, highlighting the need for fair and equitable regulations specifically for female farmers.
