Harry Ferguson et al.

Summary: Relationship-based practice is an important aspect of social work theory, but there needs to be more attention given to the types of relationships involved. Revealing the hidden performances of social work practice: The ethnographic process of gaining access, getting into place and impression management

Jadwiga Leigh et al.

Summary: While the empirical process of research uncovers substantive findings, understanding the methodological approach to field access is crucial for gathering data.
