Dissipativity Analysis for Neural Networks With Time-Varying Delays via a Delay-Product-Type Lyapunov Functional Approach

Hong-Hai Lian et al.

Summary: This article introduces a new approach for dissipativity and stability analysis of neural networks with time-varying delays, using an augmented Lyapunov-Krasovskii functional. By deriving improved delay-dependent conditions, the study shows applicability to both passivity and stability analysis of delayed neural networks. The effectiveness of the proposed method is further demonstrated through numerical examples and a real-world problem.

Observer-Based Dissipativity Control for T-S Fuzzy Neural Networks With Distributed Time-Varying Delays

Hongfei Li et al.

Summary: This article investigates the observer-based dissipativity control of Takagi-Sugeno (T-S) fuzzy neural networks with distributed time-varying delays. By establishing a new Lyapunov-Krasovskii functional and delay-dependent reciprocally convex inequality, the global asymptotical stability and strict (Q, S, R)-a-dissipativity are achieved. The effectiveness of the proposed results is demonstrated in numerical simulations.

Asynchronous Output Feedback Control for a Class of Conic-Type Nonlinear Hidden Markov Jump Systems Within a Finite-Time Interval

Peng Cheng et al.

Summary: This article focuses on a finite-time asynchronous output feedback control scheme for a class of Markov jump systems subject to external disturbances and nonlinearities. A sufficient condition is derived using Lyapunov functional technique to guarantee both the finite-time boundedness of the closed-loop systems and the desired H-infinity performance. The proposed method's validity and feasibility are demonstrated through a dc-motor experiment.

State Estimation for Networked Systems With Markov Driven Transmission and Buffer Constraint

Yong Xu et al.

Summary: This article investigates state estimation for discrete-time systems with a Markov driven transmission strategy and proposes a smart estimator to process the latest measurements, using a buffer with limited capacity. A convex sufficient condition is established for designing estimator gains to ensure system stability and performance, with two examples illustrating the effectiveness of the result under different conditions.

Sliding Mode Control for Markov Jump Systems With Delays via Asynchronous Approach

Mei Fang et al.

Summary: This paper considers the problem of sliding mode control for a class of nonlinear continuous-time Markov jump systems with uncertainties and time delay. A novel integral-type switching sliding surface function is designed, and an SMC law is constructed to force system trajectories onto the specified switching sliding surface. Stochastic stability and dissipative performance of sliding mode dynamics are analyzed, and a delay-dependent sufficient condition for the existence of the desired switching surface is developed. Additionally, the study extends SMC to investigate finite-time stability during both reaching and sliding motion phases in the stochastic setting, with simulation results illustrating the effectiveness of the proposed design techniques.

Quasi-Synchronization for Periodic Neural Networks With Asynchronous Target and Constrained Information

Yong Xu et al.

Summary: This paper investigates the problem of quasi-synchronization for the periodic neural networks, considering both parameter and period mismatches. It utilizes a logarithmic quantizer and Bernoulli processes to address limited communication capacity and information loss. A new period concept is introduced to obtain an augmented synchronization error system, and a suboptimal iterative algorithm is proposed to reduce the quasi-synchronization range. The controller design method is illustrated through a numerical example.
