Trait mindfulness and intrinsic exercise motivation uniquely contribute to exercise self-efficacy

Summary: This study investigated the association between mindfulness and exercise motivation/exercise self-efficacy in college students. The results revealed positive correlations between mindfulness and intrinsic exercise motivation as well as exercise self-efficacy. However, no association was found between mindfulness and extrinsic exercise motivation. These findings suggest that mindfulness may have a unique contribution to positive health behaviors in college students.

Summary: This study highlights the significant association between the dimensions of empathy and the construction and development of the therapeutic alliance between nurses and patients in different phases of the therapeutic relationship in mental health units. Personal self-awareness and emotional management of empathy are important for quality therapeutic relationships, and training in empathic strategies may be beneficial for nurses.

Impact of mindfulness-based cognitive therapy on counseling self-efficacy: A randomized controlled crossover trial

Summary: The study showed that a structured eight-week mindfulness-based cognitive therapy (MBCT) program had a significant positive impact on empathy, self-compassion, stress reduction, and counseling self-efficacy among counseling trainees. Mindfulness was found to be the most significant determinant contributing to counseling self-efficacy, enhancing the necessary qualities in counseling and addressing self-care issues during training.
