Engineering porous architectures in multicomponent PdCuBP mesoporous nanospheres for electrocatalytic ethanol oxidation

Hao Lv et al.

Summary: A facile soft-templating strategy was reported for precisely engineering the porous architectures of multicomponent PdCuBP mesoporous nanospheres, resulting in three types of mesoporous nanospheres with distinct porous structures. The quaternary PdCuBP dMSs exhibited remarkably high catalytic activity and better stability for electrocatalytic ethanol oxidation reaction, which was attributed to their unique porous architecture and elemental composition advantages.

Recent advance in single-atom catalysis

Zeng-Xi Wei et al.

Summary: Single-atom catalysts (SACs) have shown great potential in various catalytic fields due to their high atom utilization efficiency and catalytic activity, but fabricating SACs with high metal loading and investigating their reaction mechanisms remain significant challenges. This review highlights the recent developments and future research directions of SACs in thermal, electrocatalytic, and photocatalytic applications.

Hetero-phase MoC-Mo2C nanoparticles for enhanced photocatalytic H2-production activity of TiO2

Jinfeng Liu et al.

Summary: This study introduces a novel approach to enhance the photocatalytic activity for hydrogen evolution by introducing MoC into Mo2C to form carbon-modified nanoparticles, which are eventually coupled with TiO2 through electrostatic self-assembly. The results show that the carbon layer and hetero-phase MoC-Mo2C structure significantly improve the H2 generation rate, leading to a high-efficiency TiO2/MoC-Mo2C@C photocatalyst.
