A straightforward method for shuttle-bus line design under urban rail transit emergencies

Yun Wang et al.

Summary: This paper investigates the shuttle-bus line design problem under urban rail transit emergencies with consideration of evacuation priorities. By classifying OD pairs, a mechanism for URT operation under sublines in cooperation with replacement and complementary shuttle-bus services is proposed. A straightforward method for optimal shuttle-bus line design is developed and demonstrated through numerical analysis.
